Job Title: Continuing Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at VON Canada. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in their homes and communities.

Job Summary:

The Continuing Care Assistant will provide personal care and support to clients with physical and cognitive disabilities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with meal preparation and feeding, as well as provide emotional support and companionship to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
  • Monitor and report any changes in client condition to the supervisor
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Tuberculosis test
Work Environment:

The Continuing Care Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care and support to clients in their homes and communities. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support to our clients.
