About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Analyst to join our Envision Financial team at our Langley branch in British Columbia. This is a trainee role that will provide administrative and analytical support to our commercial sales team, with the goal of transitioning into a commercial sales/lending role after approximately two years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial analysis and support to the commercial sales team, including reviewing financial statements and identifying potential issues or concerns.
  • Conduct annual reviews of commercial accounts, analyze industry and market data, and complete analysis of financial statements as required.
  • Assist with the underwriting process for new credit applications, including reviewing loan security and delinquency reports.
  • Complete required paperwork for new credit applications, ensuring all supporting documentation is in place and forwards to commercial experts for review and/or approval.
  • Establish and maintain relationships within the branch network and the business community, promoting the organization's image through participation in community initiatives and events.
Requirements
  • College, Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in a related field is required; a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline is preferred.
  • 2 years of sales and financial analysis experience or equivalent is required.
  • Previous knowledge of lending policies, procedures, products, and services is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory requirements influencing the granting and collection of commercial credit is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge and skills in financial statement analysis and credit risk management are essential.
  • Proven ability to manage change and identify and act upon continuous improvement opportunities is required.
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated resourcefulness in execution of daily activities are essential.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Excel and Word, is required.
