Special Needs Educator

IIQAF is seeking a committed and empathetic Special Needs Educator to become a vital part of our educational team. In this role, you will engage with students who present a diverse array of learning, emotional, and physical challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to create and execute tailored educational plans, known as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), that cater to the specific needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning requirements.
  • Deliver instruction that is customized to meet the unique educational and behavioral needs of each student.
  • Work in partnership with general education instructors to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are provided in mainstream classrooms.
  • Evaluate student progress regularly and adjust IEPs as necessary to support ongoing development.
  • Employ a variety of teaching techniques and resources to engage students with special needs effectively.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with parents, offering consistent updates regarding their child's educational journey and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, specialists, and support personnel to foster a comprehensive and inclusive educational atmosphere.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
  • Current state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with special education laws and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a sincere dedication to supporting students with special needs.
