York Region District School Board is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to contribute to our dynamic team. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this role plays a vital part in providing strategic guidance and support to managers and administrators across various HR processes and collective agreement interpretations.

As an integral member of our HR department, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the grievance process effectively and fostering strong relationships with union representatives.
  • Leading thorough investigations and providing well-reasoned recommendations to ensure fair and equitable outcomes.
  • Supporting the job evaluation process and actively participating in joint committees to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Delivering engaging training modules that contribute to employee development and enhance their skills.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills. A comprehensive understanding of HR standards and legislation is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience within a similar environment.
  • CPHR designation.
  • Completion of investigation training programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
