About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Team Member to join our team at Oh Bombay. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as managing kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan menus and estimate food requirements to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory records to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, taking into account food allergies and intolerances.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and train them in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Operational Management: Manage kitchen operations, including maintaining records and inventory, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Work Environment

As a Culinary Team Member at Oh Bombay, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service. You will be required to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail in a physically demanding role.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
