About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Stevenson Waplak and Associates. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of children and youth in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention
    • Conduct thorough assessments of children and youth to identify their needs and develop individualized plans for support.
    • Implement evidence-based interventions to address the needs of children and youth, including counseling, coaching, and skill-building activities.
  • Case Management
    • Develop and maintain relationships with children and youth, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support.
    • Coordinate services and resources to meet the needs of children and youth, including connecting them with community resources and services.
  • Program Development and Evaluation
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services that support the well-being and development of children and youth.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Degree in a related field, such as social work, child and youth care, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and youth in a related field.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with children and youth, families, and other stakeholders.
    • Strong assessment and intervention skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
