About Kajohn Thai Restaurant

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant group seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
    • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef, adhering to strict dietary requirements.
  • Kitchen Operations and Management
    • Co-ordinate special events, such as banquets and buffets, to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
    • Determine the size of food portions and costs, maintaining accurate records and inventory management.
    • Plan menus and estimate food requirements, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining a well-stocked and organized kitchen environment.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Customer Service and Quality Assurance
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring exceptional presentation and customer satisfaction.
    • Manage kitchen operations, maintaining a clean and organized environment that meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
    • Language and Communication
      • Fluency in English.
      • Proficiency in Thai language an asset.
    • Personal Qualities
      • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
