Position Overview: Reporting to the Agro Manager, the Facility Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while enhancing diagnostic agronomy and interpersonal skills. This position offers valuable insights into the sales, operational, and administrative aspects of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Loading and unloading products efficiently.
  2. Assisting customers in locating items.
  3. Receiving and managing inventory within the warehouse.
  4. Handling telephone inquiries professionally.
  5. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  6. Executing deliveries as required.

This entry-level position serves as a gateway to future career opportunities within the Co-op system.

Required Qualifications:

  1. A valid Class 5 or higher driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
  2. Knowledge of agricultural products is preferred.
  3. Preference will be given to candidates pursuing or holding a diploma or degree in Agricultural studies.
  4. Must successfully complete a pre-employment alcohol and substance test.
  5. Provision of a clean Drivers Abstract is necessary during the recruitment process.
  6. Successful completion of a pre-employment Driver Evaluation by an authorized third-party is required.
  7. Experience in the agricultural sector is advantageous.
  8. Physical capability to perform warehouse tasks, including lifting and carrying over 55 lbs regularly.
  9. Experience operating forklifts and skid steers is beneficial.
  10. Strong customer service skills, both internally and externally.
  11. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  12. Competence in reading land locations and maps.
  13. Adaptability to new technologies is important.
  14. Demonstrated integrity and strong work ethic.
  15. Ability to interact with individuals sensitively and professionally.
  16. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  17. Flexibility and strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a diverse environment.
  18. Quick responsiveness in a dynamic work setting.
  19. A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.

Work Schedule: Availability for days, evenings, and weekends during peak seasons is required.
