Job Title: Housekeeper

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Charles MacPherson Associates. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residence, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and washing floors
  • Maintaining household inventory and preparing household inventory checklists
  • Preparing dinner for the family
  • Daily laundry, occasional ironing and steaming, and following washing instructions for certain fabrics
  • Trash and recycling management
  • Occasional driving of principals and running errands, grocery shopping, and other provisioning as needed
  • Covering and uncovering outdoor furniture
  • Special projects, including quarterly deep cleans, household cupboard reorganization, and fridge deep cleaning
  • Light pet care as required
  • Other duties as required from time to time

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a semiformal residence
  • Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills, with correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
  • Comfortable around both dogs and cats
  • Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercising diplomacy, discretion, and respect of boundaries
  • Service-oriented with excellent English communication skills
  • A valid full G driver's license
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
