THE ROLE:

We are seeking a dedicated University Talent Acquisition Manager with a solid history of leading early career recruitment teams. This is a remarkable opportunity for an individual who thrives in developing outreach strategies that align with corporate objectives and takes comprehensive ownership of the campus recruitment process. As the leader of the Canadian recruitment team, reporting to the Global Campus Recruitment Director, you will serve as a strategic partner responsible for crafting, directing, and executing hiring initiatives to fulfill overall recruitment objectives. This role is hands-on, emphasizing consultation, planning, execution, and ongoing enhancement.

THE PERSON:

Are you passionate about Campus Recruitment and experienced in leading high-achieving teams? This position presents a unique opportunity for a recruitment expert who has shown strong execution and comprehensive ownership of the campus recruitment lifecycle. In this active role, you will have the opportunity to innovate within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, necessitating substantial project management and proven execution capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and Execute Recruitment Programs
    • Craft and implement effective campus recruitment initiatives for Canada, aligned with AMD's hiring requirements, business objectives, and global strategy.
  • Manage Campus Recruitment
    • Oversee all facets of Canadian campus recruitment, including sourcing, school selection, recruitment processes, diversity and inclusion initiatives, internship conversions, and internship programs.
    • Requires occasional travel to universities during recruitment events.
      Includes local travel and one annual meeting.
  • Establish Partnerships
    • Develop and sustain strong working relationships across all organizational levels to foster successful collaborations.
  • Consult with Senior Management
    • Engage with senior management to comprehend business challenges and focus recruitment efforts to achieve a minimum conversion rate.
  • Enhance Employer Branding
    • Boost and maintain a robust employer brand on campuses, ensuring the attraction of top-tier talent.
  • Improve Processes
    • Continuously assess and refine processes to enhance efficiencies, promote consistency, support a positive candidate experience, and comply with local regulations.
  • Lead Projects
    • Direct various projects related to campus recruitment and associated programs.
  • Utilize Technology
    • Employ recruitment technology to improve business outcomes, provide scalability, timely insights, and ensure consistency.
  • Data-Driven Insights
    • Leverage data insights to make informed decisions and continuously enhance processes and programs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in building and leading high-performance campus recruitment teams within a rapidly growing technology organization.
  • Strong consulting skills with a demonstrated ability to forge lasting relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of university recruitment strategies and execution.
  • Willingness to take initiative and demonstrate results with a focus on service.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey the overall company vision and talent strategy to achieve objectives.
  • Capability to motivate and empower team members.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

LOCATION:

  • Canada; Markham or Vancouver.
