Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join our Canadian Tax team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of Canadian tax returns and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review tax provisions, including tax returns and underlying forms.
  • Perform journal entries regarding book-to-tax adjustments, tax payments, and refunds.
  • Participate in the consolidated tax provision, analyzing components impacting the tax expense and tax accounts.
  • Support the team during tax audits, preparing analysis and audit summaries.
  • Monitor tax filings, ensure tax assessments are analyzed and registered in the books.
  • Stay up-to-date with applicable tax laws and regulations changes affecting our entities.
  • Perform research and analysis on various files, special projects, and uncertain tax positions.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 3-4 years experience in corporate taxation and tax accounting.
  • Accounting designation, an asset.
  • Master's degree in taxation or specialized taxation course from the CICA, an asset.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and HFM, an asset.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
