Job Title: Transportation Management System Consultant

Quantum Technology Recruiting Inc. (QTR) is seeking a skilled Transportation Management System Consultant to lead the technical direction and advancement of our client's Transportation IT capabilities.

Job Summary:

This role will support the inbound, middle mile, outbound, and last mile delivery operations. The successful candidate will lead and manage the technical strategies and evolution of IT capabilities, building expertise in Transportation systems, focusing on traffic, routing, and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the technical direction of Transportation IT capabilities (TMS)
  • Build expertise in Transportation systems, focusing on traffic, routing, and carriers
  • Oversee implementation and execution of Transportation system transformation strategies, working with IT and business teams
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to developers and IT staff, ensuring best practices and standards are followed
  • Act as a technical SME for logistics systems, solving complex technical problems and overseeing documentation
  • Ensure testing, security, and knowledge transfer processes are in place to maintain and support systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Skilled in problem-solving, testing, and evaluating solution effectiveness
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Descartes, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, and carrier integrations
