Position Overview:
The Transitional Housing Program Manager is responsible for providing Christian leadership and strategic oversight for the Transitional Housing initiative at The Salvation Army. This role is dedicated to ensuring a safe, supportive, and mission-driven environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Provide direction and supervision to staff, ensuring adherence to the mission and values of The Salvation Army.
  • Program Development: Oversee the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly assess program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to enhance service delivery.
  • Financial Management: Participate in the preparation and adherence to the program budget, ensuring responsible use of resources.
  • Human Resources: Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance on performance and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of a minimum of two years of post-secondary education in a relevant field.
  • Experience in social services, human sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations, particularly in crisis situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with financial reporting.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items as needed.
  • Capacity to work in a dynamic and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Willingness to engage in on-call responsibilities as required.
