About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Metal Fabrication Specialist at Pride Bodies Ltd., a Wabtec Company. As a key member of our Brake and Shear Department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to custom truck body manufacturing and upfitting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Uphold the priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Teamwork.
  • Perform work that is accurate and finished to the satisfaction of our end customers.
  • Read and understand shop drawings to enable independent work.
  • Cut, punch, and drill material accurately and efficiently.
  • Deburr/sand all sharp edges so the next operation has minimal cleanup.
  • Stack parts for easy access for the next operation and label both parts and skids/containers correctly.
  • Help operations in the fabricating area.
Requirements
  • High School/GED diploma required.
  • Able to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Able to work safely at all times, checking for hazards before starting any task.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Able to read a tape measure correctly.
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
