Job Title: Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Department at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain comprehensive health histories and perform thorough assessments of patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including ordering diagnostic tests and procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide education and support
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to established protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Canadian or US-Accredited Physician Assistant Education Program
  • Eligible to challenge the National Physician Assistant Certificate Exam or Canadian Physician Assistant Certification
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certification
  • Experience working in an Emergency Department setting is an asset
