Job Description

The Hourly Supervisor - Operations Improvement is responsible for enhancing the profitability of Operations at Aramark Canada. This individual will ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, safety, sanitation, quality, and consistency while driving sales and controlling costs.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team in a cafe on Queen's University campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control labor costs by supervising daily staffing levels as needed while driving efficiency from all staff.
  • Retain control of production costs, supply costs, and inventory by adhering to all standards of operation.
  • Audit service and quality on a regular basis.
  • Adhere to all standards and established tracking procedures daily.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve customer satisfaction goals.
  • Supervise teamwork and service on a regular basis.
  • Supervise day-to-day employee issues in a professional manner while adhering to all Aramark Canada policies and procedures.
  • Support and implement training programs that develop skills to better serve guests, build repeat business, grow revenue, and improve morale.
  • Assist in annual employee reviews and supervise interim performance issues.
  • Supervise accurate adherence to Aramark Canada's time and attendance procedures.
  • Ensure staffing level consistent with established guidelines and make daily adjustments based on business needs.
  • Train all employees according to company standards for safety, health, and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications
  • Must have 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as a barista and previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available to work: days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
