Job Title: Bus Mechanic

Join our team at Société de transport de Saguenay as a Bus Mechanic. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of buses.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buses, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with buses, including diesel engine problems and hydraulic system malfunctions.
  • Work with our team to identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve the efficiency of our maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with our drivers and dispatch team to ensure that buses are properly maintained and ready for service.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices in bus maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other complex mechanical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
