About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Helper to join our team at Sunset Cafe. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our baked goods and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including measuring ingredients and operating mixing and grinding machines.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials as needed.
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects and report any issues to management.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet production deadlines and maintain a high level of quality.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a food preparation or baking environment is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
