About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at 1341960 BC Ltd. as a Merchandise Manager. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our retail store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our sales and operations are running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and coordinate the activities of our sales team, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop the skills of our sales team, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and expertise to succeed in their roles.
  • Authorize Payments and Order Merchandise: Manage the financial aspects of our retail store, including authorizing payments and ordering merchandise to meet customer demand.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for our sales team, ensuring that they are able to meet the needs of our customers and achieve sales targets.
  • Sell Merchandise: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and selling merchandise to meet customer needs.
  • Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve Issues: Effectively resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise in the retail store.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Manage the inventory of our retail store, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that merchandise is accurately priced and displayed.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our sales team, ensuring that they are able to meet the needs of our customers and achieve sales targets.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment
  • Work Setting: Retail business with a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and maintain a high level of manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliable, team player, dependable, initiative, and judgment
