We utilize best-in-class technology to automate the preparation and verification of multi-dose compliance packaging of medication, ensuring the highest levels of safety and adherence for individuals with complex medication regimes.
Job Summary:
The Dispensing Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring accurate and safe dispensing of prescriptions while providing pharmaceutical patient care to residents.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure timely and accurate dispensing of medication orders
- Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures
- Consult with the pharmacy management team on unresolved issues
- Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients
- Communicate effectively with the resident care team while maintaining professionalism
- Maintain accurate and organized resident health records
- Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews and document recommendations
- Follow provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing pharmacy practice
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory
- Participate in training and support for new and existing pharmacy team members
- Participate in ongoing continuing education to stay current with pharmaceutical, medical, and professional licensing information
Requirements:
- Current licensure in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A)
- Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with healthcare team members
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills
- High level of fluency in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of Kroll Windows application
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Skilled in critical thought processes and prioritization
- Self-directed with minimal supervision and ability to work independently
- Motivated to achieve results with a high standard of quality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office programs
- Previous long-term care pharmacy experience
