Chief Pilot

The Chief Pilot will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and efficient flight operations. This includes identifying aircraft maintenance faults and taking corrective actions. The Pilot will also be responsible for pre-flight planning, aircraft pre-flight checks, coordinating with Airborne Sensor Operators and Mission Commanders, and executing missions. Additionally, the Pilot will monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission flight boundaries, other air traffic, and aircraft systems. The Pilot will also coordinate flights with Fixed Base Operators, military range control, Air Traffic Control facilities, Primary Mission Equipment Operators, Mission Commanders, and Mission Coordination Services. The Pilot will operate modified Contractor Owned Contractor Operated aircraft in accordance with commercial and Host Nation regulations, and program policies and procedures. The Pilot will fly day and night, under VMC/IMC, and maintain night currency and instrument proficiency. The Pilot must possess a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate, a current FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transportation Pilot license, and an FCC Commercial Radio Operator License. Prior overseas rotation experience, particularly in USCENTCOM/USAFRICOM/USAPACOM area of operations, is also required. Experience operating aircraft with a MTOW of 44,000 pounds or more is also necessary. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience, is also required.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure safe, effective, and efficient flight operations
• Identify aircraft maintenance faults and take corrective actions
• Conduct pre-flight planning and aircraft pre-flight checks
• Coordinate with Airborne Sensor Operators and Mission Commanders
