Educational Requirements

Work Environment
  • Willingness to relocate is required.
  • Work settings include nursing homes and facilities for the elderly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
  • Support patients during meal times by serving food and assisting with feeding.
  • Handle patient mobility by weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning them as needed.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patients' rooms by making beds and managing supplies.
  • Transport patients between care facilities and assist them in wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Respond to call signals to assess and meet patients' needs.
  • Collect specimens as required.
Certifications and Checks
  • Health Care Aide Certificate is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check and child abuse registry check.
  • Immunization records and adult abuse registry check are required.
Physical and Work Conditions
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and manage physically demanding duties.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
  • Must be capable of standing for extended periods and performing a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Physical tasks may include bending, crouching, and kneeling.
