Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team at Weir Minerals. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, inspecting and reporting on critical equipment, and working closely with internal teams to grow our Oil Sands aftermarket business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Develop strong relationships with our customers and provide primary technical support to ensure their equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Equipment Inspection and Reporting: Conduct thorough inspections of critical equipment, collect and analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
  • Aftermarket Growth: Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for growth in our Oil Sands aftermarket business and develop strategies to achieve this growth.
  • Forecasting: Provide regular updates to management and operations teams on key component and spare part wear life, consumption, and customer maintenance outage schedules to ensure proper inventory alignment.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate a strong commitment to our zero-harm behaviors and contribute to the development of a world-class safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Education and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of field service and technical support experience in an industrial or mining-related field, with a preference for experience working on slurry pump disassembly, evaluation, repair, and reassembly.
