Contracts Administrator Role

At Green Infrastructure Partners Inc., we are seeking a skilled Contracts Administrator to support our project teams in the daily administration of projects. This role will report to the Regional Director and will be based at our Hamilton office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy, utilizing your analytical skills to identify potential issues.
  • Draft and negotiate subcontracts with suppliers and vendors, leveraging your negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.
  • Maintain and organize contract documents and files in a secure and accessible manner, ensuring seamless collaboration with project teams.
  • Coordinate the procurement of bonds and insurance as required, working closely with suppliers and vendors to meet project deadlines.
  • Provide estimating assistance with data entry and supplier quote orders, utilizing your technical skills to support project teams.
  • Prepare and finalize project start-up and close-out documents and files, ensuring a smooth project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update estimating and contract databases, utilizing your organizational skills to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the project team, demonstrating your versatility and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Contracts Administrative/Accounts Payable role, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the construction industry is an asset, with knowledge of industry-specific software and systems.
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards or similar software is an asset, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Results-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize data to ensure continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities effectively, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Details:

  • Fixed-term contract with a 14-month duration, providing stability and security for the successful candidate.
  • Monday to Friday schedule, with a regular working week and opportunities for professional development.
