About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Royal Leaf Painting Inc. as a key member of our painting and decorating crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish and optimal paint adhesion.
  • Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings to create a seamless finish.
  • Mix paint to the desired color and texture, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
  • Advise clients on colors and choice of wall coverings, providing expert recommendations to enhance the aesthetic appeal of their spaces.
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as needed, ensuring a safe and stable working environment.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, meeting the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in painting and decorating, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a variety of environments, including outdoors and underground.
  • Excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as required.
