Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Co-op Analog Design Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics Corporation. As a Co-op Analog Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing our flagship Optical Interconnects products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and characterize broadband linear Drivers and TIAs using Cadence design and optimization tools.
  • Conduct extensive lab work to test and validate designs.
  • Develop and implement Python scripting and automation to streamline design processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Working towards a M.A.Sc. / PhD student in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with BiCMOS and CMOS technology.
  • Proficiency in Cadence/ADS and related EDA tools.
  • Experience with EM modeling.
  • Coursework in circuit analysis and Optical/RF communications theory.
  • Strong understanding of frequency domain signals analysis, including BODE plots, FFTs, and spectrum analysis.
  • Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
  • Familiarity with Python programming.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
