MSP IT Systems Administrator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MSP IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team in Nanaimo, BC, Canada.


About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including dental care, disability insurance, and work from home options.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage clients' Azure environments, including resource management, performance monitoring, and cost-efficiency
  • Lead the management and enhancement of clients' Active Directory environments, overseeing user and group management, security policies, and system integration
  • Manage and monitor Hyper-V virtualization to ensure the availability, performance, and stability of clients' virtual machines
  • Maintain and optimize clients' Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure, providing them with a resilient and efficient data center environment
  • Deliver exceptional client support and troubleshooting for their Windows-based systems and servers, ensuring a secure and productive user experience
  • Administer web hosting services for clients, guaranteeing high availability, security, and a strong online presence for their businesses
  • Keep meticulous records, develop and maintain documentation, and create standard operating procedures for clients' IT systems and processes
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for clients, including patch management, access control, and robust disaster recovery plans

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in managing Azure, Exchange, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Windows environments, and web hosting, particularly within an MSP environment
  • Profound knowledge of network and system security best practices
