About the Role

Calibrate is pleased to represent Fasken, a premier international law firm with over 950 lawyers, in their search for a Director of Pursuits. This strategic role will have a firmwide scope and will report to the Head of Marketing and Business Development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead key cross-office and practice strategic pursuits, working closely with regional proposal resources, to deliver high-caliber proposals.
  • Establish effective processes for evaluating and pursuing strategic opportunities.
  • Guide and coach lawyers, proposal specialists, and the Business Development team to create compelling client-centric proposals and presentations.
  • Enhance proposal processes for efficiency and quality.
  • Establish a robust feedback process to ensure quality assurance and post-proposal analysis to drive insights and improvements.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards to track proposal success, identify trends, and provide strategic insights, reporting to senior management.
Credentials and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, marketing, communications) required.
  • Minimum of 8 years in proposal development, ideally in professional services or legal environments, with extensive experience managing complex, multi-jurisdictional RFPs.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing high-performing hybrid teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, using strong communication skills to influence and achieve pursuit objectives.
