Job Title: Host, Clockwork

At Fairmont Royal York, we are seeking a skilled and charismatic Host to join our team. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Manage the host stand, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the menu, promotions, and hotel services.
  • Efficiently track guest reservations and communicate with servers.
  • Participate in pre-shift, weekly, and monthly meetings to stay informed and aligned with the team.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Read and understand hotel policies, procedures, and departmental standards.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Contribute to the creation of lasting relationships with guests and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food and beverage setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and handle high volumes of guest requests.
  • Excellent computer skills.
Physical Aspects of the Position:
  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
