About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Dining Room Server to join our team at Aspira Kingsmere Retirement Living. As a Dining Room Server, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional hospitality to our residents, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their needs and preferences in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation, working closely with the Chef and other kitchen staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Participate in drills and training sessions to prepare for emergencies and ensure the department is tour-ready.

Requirements:

  • Smart Serve designation or equivalent certification.
  • One year of experience in dining room service, preferably in a senior's residence or similar setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification an asset.
  • Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset.
