Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Day Care Society of Edson. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development Planning: Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Engagement and Guidance: Engage children in activities, teach songs, and prepare crafts to foster their creativity and curiosity.
  • Health and Safety: Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to licensing regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers to ensure the well-being and success of children.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Submit written observations and reports to early childhood educators or supervisors, and participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
