Principal Geotechnical Engineer Mining Tailings

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Canada. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading technical projects, providing expert advice, and collaborating with our design teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead technical projects, including geotechnical investigation, design work, and systematic monitoring and surveillance activities
- Provide expert advice on earthen dam design, geotechnical site assessments, and associated field services
- Participate in dam breach evaluations, stability and deformation analyses, instrumentation installation design, and data review
- Conduct annual dam safety inspections and participate in audits and risk assessments
- 5+ years of experience in Canada as a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer
- Consultancy background with experience in tailings, dams, mining waste water, and Engineer-of-Record (EOR) services
- Ability to work in a remote or office-based environment

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to perform technical lead, Deputy EOR, or EOR duties, and support the development of geotechnical investigation, design work, and systematic monitoring and surveillance activities.
Additional professional experiences and project support would include:
- Earthen dam design, geotechnical site assessments, and associated field services
- Dam breach evaluations, stability and deformation analyses
- Instrumentation installation design and data review
- Annual dam safety inspections
- Participation in audits and risk assessment, amongst other duties
