Job Title: Plumber

Canstar Mechanical Ltd is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Repair and maintain plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing system layouts
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for plumbing projects
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on plumbing techniques
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment for plumbing projects
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Estimate costs and materials for plumbing projects
Requirements:
  • Plumber Trade Certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
  • Criminal record check
  • Valid driver's license
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and overtime required. The job involves working under pressure and handling heavy loads. The candidate must be physically demanding and able to work in wet/damp conditions.
