Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces for coverage
  • Mix, apply, and spread various adhesives using hand tools
  • Create rough plans and sketches for projects
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure for secure attachment
  • Align and straighten tiles accurately
  • Prepare estimates and quotations for clients
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using both hand and power tools
  • Provide instruction to apprentices
  • Pack grout into joints and ensure excess is removed
  • Replace cracked or damaged tiles as needed
  • Supervise a small team of workers
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles for decorative designs
  • Construct underbeds and install necessary supports
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
  • Install tile strips as required
Supervision

Responsible for supervising 1 to 2 individuals.

Transportation and Travel

A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Physical Demands
  • Physically demanding tasks

  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling are often necessary
  • Ability to distinguish between colours is essential
  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Good hand-eye coordination is required
  • Ability to manage a large workload
  • Overtime may be necessary
Tools and Equipment

Steel-toed safety boots are required for this role.
