We are currently looking for a Permanent Part-time Medication Support Specialist.


Schedule: Part-time Evenings 3pm-11pm, 37.5 hours bi-weekly & every other weekend

The Medication Support Specialist plays a vital role within our community, significantly influencing the lives of residents and fostering meaningful human connections.


Your daily responsibilities will include:


  • Administering medications in accordance with applicable legislative standards and internal policies.
  • Reviewing residents' Support Plans and assisting with essential daily living activities, which may include bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, mobility, continence management, and laundry tasks.
  • Monitoring and documenting residents' vital signs, weights, behaviors, mobility, safety, participation in activities as outlined in the Personalized Support Plan, and reporting any changes to the appropriate team members.
  • Accompanying residents to social activities, appointments, and dining areas.
  • Responding promptly to nursing call systems.
  • Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program that meets legislative requirements.
  • Certification in Medication Administration.
  • First Aid and CPR certification, along with experience in medication administration.
  • A minimum of six hundred (600) hours of relevant experience, including both classroom instruction and practical training, preferably in a geriatric context.
  • All candidates must successfully complete the mandated Vulnerable Sector Check.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Courses in gerontology, aging, or dementia are advantageous.
