Position Overview

The role of a Collections Legal Assistant is vital in supporting the legal and financial operations of our organization. This position requires a blend of legal knowledge and customer service skills to manage collections effectively.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a related field is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence.
  • Conduct thorough research on court files and legal records.
  • Review and proofread documents to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Locate and trace debtors efficiently.
  • Collect payments and manage debtor communications.
  • Analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Office, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
Work Environment

This position operates in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail is crucial due to the large caseload.
