Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at the Canadian Institute for Health Information. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in organizing and leveraging our pan-Canadian data to support improvements in the healthcare system and ultimately the health of Canadians.
Key Responsibilities- Manage CIHI data, ensuring it is fit for purpose, and support the production of key deliverables for internal and external dissemination.
- Conduct data management activities, including writing and updating statistical code required for the development, computation, analysis, and/or verification of key deliverables.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of data, tools, and analytical techniques used to produce standard and ad-hoc outputs.
- Lead and/or contribute to the development of materials for dissemination of findings and knowledge translation.
- Provide professional and timely client support to respond to internal and external client queries.
- Ensure adherence to, and ability to demonstrate compliance with, CIHI's privacy and security policies and procedures when using CIHI data and information.
- Maintain current knowledge of CIHI's data holdings, trends in health services research and health policy, and stakeholder information needs to support current work and contribute to the development of new analytic proposals.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Epidemiology, Health Information, Statistics, Social Sciences, Health/Business Administration)
- Three to five years related experience working with relational databases / large datasets, including manipulating, maintaining, and preparing data and presenting analyses and reports for different audiences.
- Proficiency with data manipulation and statistical software, such as Python, R, or other statistical software is essential.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with minimal supervision.
- Proven organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English is required, bilingualism is an asset.
