About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team at Allo Mon Coco. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, planning menus, and preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality dishes.
  • Culinary Operations: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and customers.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that our kitchen runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, providing support with housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the culinary industry.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting diversity and inclusion in our kitchen.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees, promoting diversity and inclusion in our kitchen.
