NOV Inc. is seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our Downhole Manufacturing Facility in Nisku, AB.

Job Summary: As a Production Operator, you will be part of a team responsible for manufacturing stators. You will operate manual and semi-automatic production equipment, focusing on quality and safety. Essential skills include technical abilities, teamwork, collaboration, attention to detail, physical ability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use precision measuring equipment and document findings accurately.
  • Operate manual and semi-automatic production equipment with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Provide clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and responsibly.
  • Participate in near miss and incident reporting.
  • Adhere to all HSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, comprehend written instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Physical fitness and ability to safely lift and move items, using appropriate aids if required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and awareness, including hand tools, basic hydraulics, and safe machine operation.
  • Strong sense of initiative and creative thinking to ensure quality products are manufactured.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, promoting collaboration and support.

HSE Considerations:

  • Able to work in a shop environment with noise, fumes, and standing, and lifting unassisted up to 35 pounds.

This position is classified as safety-sensitive, and employment is conditional on satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
