Job Summary

The Service Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Pediatric Ambulatory Clinics at McMaster Children's Hospital. This position will be responsible for coordinating equipment procurement and supplies, working closely with Ambulatory managers, Regional Materials Management staff, Capital Development, BioMed, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate equipment procurement and supplies to meet the needs of the clinics
  • Collaborate with Ambulatory managers and other stakeholders to ensure efficient supply chain management
  • Maintain Ambulatory Units, including monthly safety inspections and WHIMIS inventory management
  • Monitor and track inventory levels on supply carts and outside orders
  • Assist in the acquisition of supplies and equipment through various funding sources

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (academic level) or post-secondary healthcare diploma/certificate
  • 5 years recent experience in a healthcare and/or hospital setting
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Spreadsheets
  • Experience in supply chain management and inventory control
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to set priorities and organize work in a fast-paced environment
