About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead our news team in Vancouver. As a key member of our editorial leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance to our team of journalists and producers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the transition to a streaming-first work model and oversee the Vancouver 24/7 streaming channel
  • Develop and implement editorial strategies to drive engagement and ratings
  • Collaborate with our OMNI News, RTV, and 1130 News Radio teammates to provide high-quality content to our viewers
  • Elevate editorial and journalistic standards for the content team
  • Work with operations and engineering teams to innovate our news production model
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing a TV newsroom and leading a team of journalists and producers
  • Strong editorial vision and ability to drive engagement and ratings
  • Experience in leading major national productions and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively in pressure situations and drive teamwork
  • Knowledge of Vancouver and its dynamic media landscape
