Summer Camp Director

Pear Tree Education is a progressive alternative to traditional schools, providing innovative learning experiences for children and parents.
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Educational Program Manager to oversee our summer camp location, ensuring a fun and educational experience for our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of teachers and oversee daily operations at our summer camp location
- Implement Pear Tree's COVID safety plan and summer camp policies
- Coordinate with Pear Tree administrators and directors to ensure seamless program delivery
- Perform cleaning duties and weekly pack up
- Accompany classes during outdoor time and take photographs
- Bachelor of Education (Elementary) and B.C. Ministry of Education Certification
- 3+ years of experience teaching elementary level in British Columbia
- Valid First Aid certificate and a driving license
- Experience working in a camp or summer school environment and teaching with technology is an asset
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students
- Enthusiasm and ability to capture students' imagination
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work with students, colleagues, and parents
- Empathy and ability to foster health and wholeness in students
$1,500 per week, paid bi-weekly
Work Schedule:Monday to Friday, 7:50 am to 5:10 pm
Centre Management Training:Provided prior to the start of the summer
