Job Title: Finance Analyst

Darling International Canada Inc. is a global leader in creating sustainable food, feed, and fuel solutions from organic by-products. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth and success.

Job Summary:

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of tasks within the Finance Team, including financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting. The successful candidate will become a key member of the Operations group and will be expected to work closely with plant management to prepare and analyze financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate and timely execution of weekly production balancing
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis of variances to budget
  • Monthly Forecasts with comparison to budget
  • Responsible for assisting plant management in preparing and analyzing the overhead budget
  • Accountable for all specific plant accounting, including posting of plant related journal entries
  • Will conduct ad hoc analysis as required
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with ad hoc issues that may arise
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Enrollment in the CPA program is considered an asset
  • High sense of urgency, well organized, ability to manage multiple tasks and able to prioritize effectively
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to effectively use transactional databases and finance software
  • Oracle and/or Hyperion experience is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
