About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Care Worker to join our team at Nanaimo Family Resource Programs. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and support to clients living in group homes and half-way houses, including housekeeping activities and food preparation.
  • Supervise and assist clients with special needs, accompanying them to appointments and social outings as needed.
  • Administer medications and provide emergency treatments to patients, as well as transport clients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Care for foster children and provide a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Criminal record check, child welfare check, and driving record check (abstract).
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
