About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Application Support Specialist to enhance our Global Wholesale and Risk Technology Team. This role is integral to our Global Technologies Applications group, focusing on the dynamic field of Capital Markets.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for applications, engaging with various stakeholders across Front & Middle Office, Product Control, Risk Management, and more.
  • Oversee incident and change management processes, collaborating with internal teams to report and implement necessary improvements for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the resolution of service delivery issues, ensuring effective communication and root cause analysis.
  • Deliver day-to-day support to global units, addressing complex business challenges, including product structuring, user training, and system enhancements.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of financial instruments, risk management methodologies, and regulatory requirements across multiple financial markets.
  • Continuously update your understanding of business strategies, product offerings, and evolving technologies to provide effective solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills to independently resolve intricate business problems.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster consensus among stakeholders.
  • Provide after-hours support on a rotational basis, particularly during application releases and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, particularly in Derivative Products.
  • Experience with log analysis and application monitoring tools.
  • Client-focused with experience interfacing with trading desks.
  • Familiarity with MarkitWire; knowledge of WSS and ICELink is advantageous.
  • Experience in supporting trading systems and understanding trade flows from front to back.
