Job Title: Mechanical Crane Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Crane Supervisor to join our team at Tenaris in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and maintainability of our equipment, providing technical support, and supervising the execution of preventive maintenance plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and supervise the execution of preventive maintenance plans to ensure systematic analysis, define corrective actions, and generate improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to emergency crews and staff areas, and perform inspections in your area of responsibility.
  • Guarantee technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock, and support the Engineering area in researching and assessing the best equipment available.
  • Draw up the maintenance cost budget and keep costs within agreed limits, and ensure the application of health, safety, and environment standards and practices.
  • Comply with HSE procedures, report any incident or observation, perform inspections, and participate in the investigation process.
  • Implement preventive/corrective actions, keep updated the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment, and participate in maintenance programs to minimize/optimize the use of required energy.
  • Interact with internal and/or external contacts with a higher level of autonomy, and act as a shift leader, responsible for leading employees during their assigned time period/shift, coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring work safety conditions.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years relevant industry experience
  • Mechatronic or mechanical specialization
  • Previous supervisory experience would be considered a strong asset
