Position Overview

The role of a Food Service Supervisor at General Assembly Pizza involves overseeing the daily operations of our dining establishment, ensuring that our culinary team delivers exceptional service and quality.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
Work Environment

This position is based in a fast-paced restaurant setting where teamwork and efficiency are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective work schedules to optimize staff productivity.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation personnel.
  • Provide training to staff on their roles, as well as sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel.
  • Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and cost estimates for operations.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Compile and submit operational reports as required.
  • Prepare summaries of food orders for the chef.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the restaurant's culinary offerings.
  • Oversee the assembly of food trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position involves supervising a team of approximately 3-4 staff members.

Safety and Security

A criminal record check is mandatory for this role.
