Are you eager to kickstart your career in Marketing Operations and Paid Advertising? We are in search of a Marketing Co-op to contribute to our initiatives at Thinkific.

As a Marketing Co-op at Thinkific, you will engage in an 8-month co-op work term that provides the opportunity to develop expertise in B2B and B2C SaaS marketing. Reporting to our Marketing Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in executing marketing strategies across the organization. This involves brainstorming, implementing, and analyzing results. We seek an individual who is enthusiastic about learning project management, establishing operational processes, and supporting paid advertising campaigns. A candidate who not only grasps the theory but is also eager to apply it practically.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the Marketing Operations and Paid Advertising teams in both strategy and execution:

  • Assist in launching go-to-market initiatives, including product feature releases, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Help with email list segmentation, automation, and report generation.
  • Contribute to the ideation, testing, documentation, and implementation of new processes.
  • Conduct data cleanup and maintenance (leads, customers, and campaigns) to ensure CRM data accuracy.
  • Perform keyword research to identify high-performing keywords.
  • Analyze search terms regularly to drive relevant traffic and identify new keyword opportunities.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to inform strategic adjustments.
  • Assist in creating and implementing ad copy.
  • Update and manage advertisements, videos, and copy for campaigns.
  • Help prepare reports on campaign performance.

The ideal candidate will likely possess the following:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a marketing-related field.
  • A willingness to experiment with new processes and technologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Asana, Unbounce, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Looker.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
  • Interest in data analysis, deriving actionable insights, and creating reports.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • An innovative mindset and eagerness to work within a team.
  • A foundational understanding of Digital Marketing concepts and a desire to expand marketing knowledge.
  • A passion for learning and growth, actively seeking opportunities to enhance skills in this field.

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial, but can be learned on the job:

  • Previous professional experience in a marketing or project management role.
  • Experience with Google Suite, Slack, and email automation tools.
  • Prior experience or internship in digital marketing or PPC.
  • Google Ads certifications.
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics / GA4.
  • Creativity in developing engaging ad copy.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 CAD, determined based on your skills, knowledge, experience, and internal equity assessment.
