Key Responsibilities:

As the Fresh Foods Department Manager, you will report directly to the Store Manager and be responsible for:

  • Leading daily operations of the Fresh Foods Department with a focus on achieving sales, labor, and waste management goals.
  • Recruiting and onboarding new team members.
  • Evaluating team performance and conducting performance management discussions.
  • Implementing new policies and ensuring compliance among team members.
  • Inspiring and motivating team members to foster personal and professional growth.
  • Maintaining high productivity levels and extensive product knowledge.
  • Participating in merchandising and promotional initiatives.
  • Assisting with inventory oversight.
  • Ensuring that store conditions meet established standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of managerial experience in a retail environment.
  • Proven track record in maintaining operational excellence, including payroll and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of sales forecasting to set key departmental targets.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Availability for primarily daytime shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
