Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Patrol Officer to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a Security Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of our premises, ensuring the well-being of our employees, horses, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist employees in observing and complying with company policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Control access to the barn area and maintain a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular patrols to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Investigate and report any incidents or suspicious activity.
  • Provide assistance to staff, horsemen, and visitors as needed.
  • Respond to emergency situations and follow established procedures.
  • Submit reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Physical ability to perform security-related duties, including standing, walking, and running.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of the horse-racing industry is an asset.
  • Serving it Right Certification.

Working Conditions:

The Security Patrol Officer will work in a fast-paced environment, often in close proximity to horses. The ability to work effectively without direct supervision and maintain a high level of alertness is essential.
